The UK fashion cognoscenti was buzzing (read: Tweeting) today as H&M attempted to slake the consumer’s near-unquenchable thirst for designer-high street collaborations. Yes, the super-fabulous Lanvin for H&M A/W10 collection, designed by the unparalleled (and seemingly lovely) Alber Elbaz has been revealed to the circle of trust in all its glory. And it’s mouthwatering.
Blink, and blink again: you’re on the catwalk, albeit an affordable one. Encapsulating the glam Lanvin signature style (with production overseen by the fashion house to boot), the limited edition collection includes fabulous cocktail dresses in black and ochre, diamante-blitzed leopard print courts, and a blood-red drop necklace. The cynic in me tells me not to, but I know I’m going to be one of the style desparados seeking my super-fashion fix at 9am on November 23!
Fashion Popcorn’s a sucker for a slick brand campaign – despite knowing exactly what they pour into ‘em - and this Mike Figgis-directed, uber-sexy, Harri Peccinotti-esque short is one of those kinda campaigns. It’s also produced by fellow Popcorner Stephen Whelan’s company Stink. We’re all swallowed up.
Love that in the behind-the-scenes video (released prior to today’s launch) they’ve blurred the collection. Makes it look kinda rude!
