The 16th Encounters International Film Festival kicks off this evening, with an action-packed programme every day till Sunday. Taking place in venues around Bristol’s thrumming harbourside, events include seminars, film screenings and networking events for an international crowd of film-makers and associated creatives types. The roster reads like a who’s who of film-making – BAFTA, Shooting People, Tim Minchin, World Films…
Including *ahem…shameless plug* ourselves. Four o’clock this Thursday, Nov 18, finds the Fashion Popcorn crew taking over the Pervasive Media Studio seminar space, with short talks by Stink TV’s Stephen Whelan, Matter2Media’s Tim Kindberg and yours truly, introduced by Clare Reddington, director of the Studio. There’ll also be a demo of Tim’s Krstl mannequin and some delish cakes from Pullins – a bit o’ sugar always good for energetic conversations!
There are still limited spaces for the event – go to the Watershed box office to book.
