Acne’s Johnny Johannson talks inspiration as SS11 hits NAP

Acne hammered satin dress SS11 (Net-a-Porter)

I love a bit of Scandi style – and Acne is the superlative of the troupe, the fashion insider’s go-to label for ultimate separates. The collective thrumming of fashionista’s birdlike hearts caused a minor Mayfair quake when it threw open the doors on its London store last year.

A multi-faceted design company (or rather, collective of companies), creative director Johnny Johansson famously founded Acne fashion on a 100 piece denim collection snapped up by a celeb crew back in 1997, growing it to the full-blown wardrobe filler it is today. Check out Net-a-Porter‘s ode to Johnny online today, which marks the arrival of the new SS11 collection and makes a great guide to the city’s stylish haunts to boot (time to plan that chic city break!) Continuing the conversation from Fashion Popcorn#4, if there’s one place you can rely on to produce high quality fashion film, it’s NAP.
