LFW: Saloni AW11 (collection copyright Saloni)

A taxidermy tableaux of flamingoes sporting crystal anklets, and
leather-saddled peacocks looked on at the Saloni AW11 salon show in
the rarified environs of Mayfair’s Savile Club. Accompanied by pianist
Rosy Chan, the presentation was reminiscent of a 1940s couture affair, not
least because the uber-connected designer’s well-plumed flock, which
includes Sarah Mower, Josephine De La Baume, Poppy Delevigne and Charlotte
Dellal, added a splash of glamour.

Inspired by cult environmental tome, Earth from the Air, and its aerial
views of landscapes – from city grid systems to snow plains and northern
lights – and with a modern nod to Hollywood glamour…
