Those who follow my self-congratulatory boasts on Twitter will have noted that I am currently working on the fashion desk at online fashion and lifestyle title Handbag.com, and have thus joined the judging panel of their Online Fashion Awards 2011. Chaired by Handbag.com’s editor Rebecca Holman, the judging panel also includes Show Me Your Wardrobe‘s Jackie Dixon, Drapers‘ Keely Stocker, ASOS Marketplace‘s Jemma Dyas (I must get around to selling my sartorial cast-offs) and The Online Fashion Agency‘s Leon Bailey Green. So, in good company then.
We’re hunting for the most exciting, super-chic UK and international fashion websites, from blogs to boutiques, and most importantly ones that the public have voted for. This isn’t about industry bigwigs bunging a few buddies an accolade – more about listening to what people outside the media bubble are tuning into online, and finding true innovators in their field. So, what are you waiting for – tell us your favourite websites! You can even nominate Fashion Popcorn, if you like, although I suspect I won’t be allowed to compete as I’d obviously want to choose myself!
