Dance along to Dirty Dancing at Future Cinema
We’re well aware that’s it’s in no way high brow. Hell, it’d be tough to put an ironic hipster spin on it: Nonetheless, how excited are we that Future Cinema is bringing us an open-air Dirty Dancing extravaganza come late August?!
The guys who brought us a singalong-a-Grease, replete with funfair and hotdogs, last summer are transforming a still-secret East London location into Max Kellerman’s mountain retreat as the setting for a dance-along outdoor screening of the iconic 80s film hit. We’re thinking dance lessons, retro entertainment and the time of our lives (natch.)
If you’re reading this thinking ‘Who the fook is Kellerman?’ It may well be this isn’t one for you: Anyone familiar with the Baby/Johnny romance will be pulling on their striped Bretons, true blue denim cut-off shorts and pristine white Keds sneaks and hotfooting it to the Future Cinema website, where tickets have just gone on sale. Watermelon optional.
Future Cinema presents Dirty Dancing, East London venue TBC, from August 30 to September 1.
