Stop him and buy one! Henry Holland hits the road in his ice-cream van pop-up shop
Why sell a collection from a run-of-the-mill pop-up shop when you can tout your wares from a psychedelic ice-cream van instead? Given his indefatigable spirit, it should come as no surprise that come Thursday, August 1, Henry Holland’ll be doing just that, parking up kerbside in Covent Garden for two days – then Carnaby, Seven Dials, Spitalfields and Manchester, before he’s back in town for LFW – to sell an exclusive 17-piece House of Holland collection. Girls and boys, meet Mr Quiffy.
As might be expected, it’s a selection of vibrantly printed, oh-so snackable pieces which bridge the gap between summer and new season drops. Kind of like the best kind of screwball.
Unmissable owing to its wildly-wrapped chassis, printed in the HoH way, if you DO miss the enticing tunes of the Mr Quiffy ice-cream van (we wait to see whether we hear Mark Moore’s ace HoH AW13 runway mix blaring out its speakers), don’t throw a tantrum: you’ll also be able to shop the collection on the all-new House of Holland website, live Thursday, August 1. To misquote Outkast: That’s cooler than cool – it’s ice cold.
