Hi David
Thanks for your response.
Well I'm really hoping your pick me.
I think my legs have got the personality that you’re looking for; they have been through hell and back with vascular surgery.
So I am making this call out to anyone who has ever suffered from varicose veins or even anyone that likes the look of a boy in stockings to vote for me.
I want to be the new ambassador for Pretty Polly, and I will wear them with pride, throughout the year.
I’m wishing on a Pretty Polly!

Hi Tom,

Your project sounds really exciting and we definitely agree that there should be no standardised view of what is and isn't considered beautiful.

As you say, we're not just looking for a great pair of pins - we want them to belong to someone with personality and a great sense of style. As a member of the judging panel, I can tell you that we will be meeting all of the final eleven to assess the contenders as thoroughly as possible before choosing our Legs Eleven.

The purpose of the competition is to introduce a new generation to Pretty Polly. Over the years, the way that we wear tights has changed, and we embrace that. Pretty Polly believe that tights aren't just an everyday necessity; they're now a true fashion statement for every shape and size to style their outfit from the legs up and feel great about themselves as a result. It's not about having the longest, skinniest pair of supermodel-like pins, it's about dressing yourself in a way that expresses your own style and personality. Our brand values are reflected across all of our designs: confident, fun, fashionable and, above all, accessible. Our styles range from super high fashion collaborations with the likes of Henry Holland to your basic nude tights (very now, very Middleton...) and our sizing runs from extra small to plus size, so that whatever the shape of your legs, we'll have something for you.

One thing we will be looking for from our ambassador is a willingness to wear Pretty Polly tights throughout the year (heatwave permitting!). We fully support your project and if the quest for Legs 11 helps bring it to a more public view, we are delighted.

I hope that helps answer some of your questions. We wish you the best of luck with your entry in these last few days of the competition, and also with your own Legs 11 project.

Best Wishes,

David Hinchliffe

This is the question on everyone's lips: how does one assess the personality of legs?
With what I have been through recently I would say mine are courageous.
The personality of my legs is courageous, that's why you should vote for them!

It's the classic triumph against adversity story.

I also wonder how the judges of Pretty Polly will assess this...
I remember watching something on the Richard and Judy show where some expert claimed that you could tell personality types by just looking at people's bums.

Maybe the judges of have a similar tactic but this time with legs.
But..... isn't it all about the years' supply of stockings?!
Since I have been recovering from the operation I have been watching a lot of Alfred Hitchcock films and realise you can do a lot with a stocking, mostly murder!
Not that I am thinking of committing a murder but its always an option...

Hej! very interesting film filled with lust and delight, beautiful images, sensual to utmost wishes and delicat at the same time, I do like Ruth Hogden creation in films even more than the clothings, but the cloths are well put in place enhanced by the movements and the images. Very exciting.
